I’m a media and communications professional, freelance writer, and outdoor enthusiast with a passion for discovering adventure, big or small.
Originally from Canada and now calling Sydney, Australia home, my first big overseas trip began in Nepal in 2013. Since then, I’ve travelled to 31 countries, lived in New Zealand and Australia, and most recently took a four-month sabbatical to make room to roam.
My writing is inspired by these adventures — the people I’ve met, the places I’ve wandered, and a curiosity about how we can travel better. I’m especially passionate about getting outside to reset your mindset, finding joy in everyday adventure, and making the outdoors more accessible — even for those balancing full-time work.
Through my stories and reflections, I explore hikes, changes in national parks, and the evolving travel and tourism space — alongside the quieter, local adventures that remind us nature doesn’t need to be far away or far-flung to be meaningful.
I hope my stories and research offer you a different perspective and encourage you to get out and explore – even in your own backyard.
